ER NURSE POSITION AVAILABLE
Seeking highly experienced veterinary technician to work overnight hours for a fast-paced, AAHA accredited 24 HR Veterinary Hospital.
Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work nights, weekends and holidays as the technician frequently will work unaided.
All applicants should be able to demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of basic and advanced animal care to include, but not limited to: animal restraint, administering oral and injectable treatments, placing IV catheters, taking x-rays, drawing blood, running lab tests, and operating and maintaining diagnostic equipment. Surgery Tech skills are also required, must have previous hands-on background in an operating room, pre- and post-op care, and anesthesia monitoring background.
Some reception and basic technical skills also required.

The Veterinary Assistant supports the veterinarians and veterinary technicians in ensuring quality veterinary care for all pets, advocates for pets, educates clients on all aspects of pet health, and ensures a safe and effective hospital environment. Required responsibilities and Tasks
- Ensure the safety of pets, clients and associates by utilizing safe restraining techniques, following standard protocols, and maintaining clean, sterile and organized treatment areas, exam rooms and labs.
- Assist with surgery as applicable.
- Utilize computer skills to the fullest, within state practice acts and as outlined in the NAVTA guidelines for veterinary assistant skills and duties.
